First edition Harry Potter novel goes for over $40,000
The Harry Potter phenomenon is far from over. Just this week, a first edition of the first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, just sold at auction for $40,326. It was signed by Joanne Rowling, the author. The first HP book was released in the US under the title Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
