Union gave up more to GM than we thought
The United Auto Workers Union had to give up some of their demands in order to settle the contract dispute with General Motors. The union agreed to lower pensions for new employees, and a two-tiered wage system in exchange for job security. This is the first time in 70 years the union has agreed to a lower pay system. Guess the threat of losing your job changes your priorities.
