It seems the US tourist industry is still suffering post 9/11. Numbers of visitors from overseas are still below pre-9/11 levels, and the travel industry is hurting. They’re asking Congress to create a government led company for promotion of US travel. Don’t worry, it won’t involve increased taxes – it will be funded by business contributions and a 10-dollar fee on visas of foreign travelers.
